Sawn-edge bowl by Michael Ray

 

  • Circle cut in 6mm float glass, then "saw blade" sections cut out using diamond blade tile cutter.

  • Texture from powdered fired clay, which was sprinkled onto kiln shelf

  • Glass fused, then painted with lustre.

  • Feet formed in clay mold from powdered waste float.

  • Fused blank slumped through a drop ring onto a bed of powder clay (which contained the feet)
