Well, ignorance is bliss until it becomes misery. Sometimes you get away with fusing Uroboros 90 COE with Bullseye tested compatible, but don't conclude from that that it's always possible. In my own experience, you're more likely to get away with fusing the different brands together when your pieces are small or you're just using something like powder from one manufacturer on top of sheet glass from another, but the more demanding your application the more likely you are to run into trouble. And there are some colors -- the Uroboros reds and yellows get mentioned a lot -- that cause more than their fair share of compatibility issues.

Bottom line, the more frequently you mix different brands the more likely you are to eventually have problems. It's mostly a matter of when, not if.

Ignorance is bliss until you try and anneal 96 and 90 at the same time on the same annealing schedule in your kiln. Now that is NOT recommended.
