Re: Slump Fail
I have always been puzzled by firing schedules with an initial heatup like the one you used. Great Info! Thanks for the feedback. Where did I get my firing schedule? From the Internet of course! #-o Google was my friend (or my enemy in this case). It's an amalgamation of schedules I found on differ...

Re: Getting rid of devit
Well I'm making the assumption you would be fire polishing after using the cream. I'm inclined to think that sand blasting would render the glass opaque as well. I just re-read your post and it looks like you plan on fire polishing. That should make your piece shiny again no matter what method you u...

Re: Decorative plates
What sort/type/COE of blown glass scraps are you using? COE 96. The first melt I tried used Coe 90 in a slumpys 6 inch mini melt pot. It was a disaster. It ended up with spider web cracking all throughout the melt. I scoured the interwebs for answers and the best explanation I could come up with is...

Re: Decorative plates
Busy, busy busy!!! Yeah. It took longer than I thought it would. I have a Paragon Fusion 16 so I can only do one plate at a time. With my current rig it takes 5 firings to do each one. Sometimes 6 if a plate ends up with gratuitous devit on it. I've been doing my melts using a Sumpys 8 inch mini me...

Re: Glue for fused work
Depending on what I'm doing I've used both super glue and dilute white Elmers glue. I haven't come across any ghosting (at least none that I can see) .

Re: Your favorite website for buying fusible glass and why?
For COE 90 glass I've used coe90, A & A Products and Delphi Glass. I tend to favor the first two more because Delphi seems to be a bit pricier (especially their shipping and handling costs). For COE96 Glass I use Slumpys. I user their opaque odd cut glass for pot melts and get additional glass f...
