anneal question,,,,,

im wondering if i made a thick vase shape, that was not annealed,,,and later, once it was totally cooled, i put it into the kiln or a furnace to heat it up again,,,would it heat up and stay in one piece, or would it heat up and break,,,,thanks,,,,rodney

Is it possible to get glass to go thin in the kiln....I have some bullseye rods and was wonderinf if I cut them up small will they flaten out in the kiln? thanks for that info,,,,what i have in mind is taking the 90coe scrap that i get for about 75cents/lb (if anyone knows where to get it cheaper, i would appreciate that) and mix the super saturated frit with the clear frit, to make a transparent colored clear,,,any ideas, seems like it would work tha...

i realize that if i use fine grain powder, then the glass will opaque,,,what would be the smallest mesh size that i can use, and still get a translucent glass,,,does temp and hold time have anything to do with this,,,,any help in this matter is appreciated,,,,thanks,,,,rodney
