I have been trying to make a few barrette molds using 1/4 inch fiber blanket and the alumina ridgidizer. Making ridges on a bowl mold

I am trying to make a series of concrentric circles on an existing mold. I want to then slump a bowl over it to get the ridges in the glass. I have tried several things, a paste of kiln wash (crumbled), clay rings (shrunk and cracked) any ideas? Would calcium hydroxate work? I would like to be able ...

Which side of powder wafer to fuse to base?

I am wondering if the smooth side of the wafer that was against the kiln shelf will lose its powdery appearance if I fuse that side up under a layer of clear? Would I be better off puting the wafer on top going to full fuse then adding a top layer in another firing? Thanks

slumping and super spray

I just fused a piece of bullseye and I ended up with a small area of devit. I was wondering if any of you have tried to use super spray on the devit and slump at the same time? Would I be better off coating with super spray and going back to full fuse then slumping in another firing? I did not put a...
