Laurel's husband makes her dichroic.. so cool... and Laurel cuts her shapes freehand...I would sell my first born child to be able to cut glass like she does... I still drool when I see her pieces...

Your beads and cabs are great.. esp like the mushroom bead.
I have found that the my cabs turn out better if I scan them instead photographing them... don't think it would work with your beads though.

I use a ceramic kiln all the time.. it is the only large size kiln I have access to. I also only have two on-off switches. I use cone 15 or 16... It all depends on how many shelves you have in the kiln and how much glass on each shelf... I also have NO thermostat. with cone 16 I get a full fuse on t...

Go to http://www.aaproducts.com/kilnPar120v.html they have an infinite switch for $49 that is made for the QuickFire kiln. It lets you control the heat..low...medium... high, works great for larger or thicker pieces.
