Heres an interesting note about the tin side. You can remove it. Cerium oxide and water slurry applied to a wool felt polishing wheel will quickly remove the thin tin residue on float glass that remains from the glass being "floated" across the molten lake of tin. The glass is passed over ...

Instead of the crystals forming in a sharper crystaline shape, they become more cobblestone like. It leaves the surfac...

Getting shocked when blasting with aluminum oxide? Hook a ground wire to the metal cabinet (Make sure to make contact with clean metal and not paint). Connect the other end to the blasting nozzle. Use a hose clamp or allegator clip. This will collect ALL the static charges caused by the abrasive gra...

I use my wet belt sander to open bulbs. Come in from the edge of the belt, make a notch to release the vaccum. Then rotate the bulb allowing the cutting edge of the belt to cut as it enters the bulb but not contact the bulb as it exits ( avoiding chips being blown out) This cuts easily and allows yo...

Call Laguna Clay. They are located in the town of City of Industry, California. They sell high fire clay that can be used to create reuseble molds. Ask for the salesperson who has this knowledge, I spoke with him before, I don't recall his name.
