Re: Wasser- Is it compatible with 90 or 96??

Apologies for the length of this post. Lynn, Yes, I have been watching this thread. And I’ve been trying to keep out of it. But here I come. I think my point was that the science of glass fusing isn't exact… The science IS exact. If it weren’t, it wouldn’t be called science. It is the practice that ...

Dani, First of all, I personally had VERY little to do with this edition of the Bullseye catalog; it's the product of an exceptional team led by Mary Kay. What I most loved about this issue was seeing how the quality of the work in our community has sky-rocketed in the last couple of years. Seeing s...

Because these problems are so similar to those we at Bullseye had when Spectrum was making a machine-rolled clear for us, I am going to jump in to this thread although I am sure that some will cry foul and others will distrust what I am going to say because I’m talking about “the competitionâ€

I think this is a fantastic opportunity for a lot of much-needed discussion/debate on terminology. Thanks, Lauri! PS. Charlie, it's "vitrigraph". I can be inflexible on this point, since I coined the term and wrote the first print material detailing the process (Bullseye's TechNotes #2, Co...

What about when you're NOT a "Master"? I have to say, personally - I adore compliments, but I have yet to develop a taste for this particular sort. Then I guess, like Bert says, you just need to run like hell and stay ahead of the pack. (from one who works for a company with shin splints)

Jackie, good thread you started. But everyone is talking about TECHNIQUE here. Technique is not inspiration. It is just technique.

Lani has shared some irridizing tips with me in the past even after we had all those many arguments. To her credit. But I'd still be disapointed if they were holding proprietary information that could be relevant to food safety. Disapointed but not surprised. David, I can GUARANTEE you that Bullsey...

Terry, I absolutely LOVE that the internet lets us actually SEE the problems. I read yours and scratched my head a bit, then opened the image and bingo. This is a textbook example of thermal shock: Unless I'm not reading the picture properly, your base glass is a 15" x 15" sheet of 1137 am...

Hi Lauren, Since Bullseye has never made a color named "Avocado", I'm at a loss here... do you have a style number? Is there a chance it was a curious (i.e., off-sample) color? Is it transparent or opaque? If we'd ever known we'd made "the greatest color in the whole wide world" ...

Lonman, Every kiln fires differently, but in our Paragon GL24s, 1400F - depending on the rate of fire - is closer to full rather than a tack fuse. How much your glass is pulling in also depends on how many layers you're starting with. A single layer of thin is going to shrink more at this temperatur...
