Thanks everyone - I've decided to go with some bumpons from Tenn. Tom since I only wanted a couple of hundred versus thousand! But I also wanted to add the following information for others who may need more than I do.... Midatlanticrubber.com quoted me $38 per case of 3,000. min. order is $50. Barb

How about magnets, coasters, picture frames and murrini bars to start? ALso pieces to make wind chimes too.

If you use the split rings and make sure the "split" part is inside the hole you've drilled can you avoid the problem of catching it on things? That's what I've been doing so far with no problems.

Hmmm well I don't know whether BE will strike and if it does, at what temp. The only striking reds I've dealt with are Kugler and gaffer hot glass. Maybe Lani can help you with this?

Hi Delores

In hot glass striking usually occurs as a matter of how hot you get the glass as opposed to the amount of reheating. I'm sure it depends on what kind of glass you are using though - are you using Gaffer casting glass?

Update on drilling holes

Thanks for all your tips and tricks about drilling holes. I have been having better success using MUCH less pressure than I was before. I just barely touch the glass and back off and repeat and repeat. But it's only taking about a minute or two to drill holes in 2 layers of reg. thickness BE too! Th...

Speaking of disruptive students....

Has anyone ever noticed that regardless of class size there's always one student that proves to be disruptive, irritating and/or rude?
