Hawaii-Kona

Can anyone recommend some good galleries to see in Kona? I'll be there soon and I would love to see what is selling in a different market.

slumping molds-any experience with custom?

I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge of companies doing custom molds (ceramic) for people? Or if there are ways that I can make reusable molds for production work on my own?

I've got some great mold designs if I could get them made.

TIA

lynn- The best thing to do with whatever frame you decide to have built is to get it engineered. Find some young engineer in an office willing to do a side job and it should cost you very little. The main issue is not wether the glass breaks due to it thickness and weight. It's easy to make a glass ...

Thanks for the tips.

Lynn, what do you think about inlands Twin Spin grinder. Looks handy for some things. I'm a believer in simplicity so the studio grinder by glastar is also very intriging. Plus I've used it before in a friends studio.

Hi all, I've been patrolling the boards recently and really appreciate what you folks have gone through. I just ordered a kiln today and am so excited to get it. I am setting up my first studio in my basement. I know it is going to be too small, but it WILL still be a studio. I have been looking int...

Will devit sprays or borax help the piece if tin side is up?

I'm new to this too and am borrowing kiln time this weekend for some float projects this weekend.

So any tips regarding the tin side of float glass would be greatly appreciated.
