Hello Kevin! Yes, the Fit It Guy was telling me that Kilns can be different, along with other heated appliances because of the expansion and contraction of the unit (has an effect on them). I am not sure if he tightened twice or not, it was cooled when I gave it to him, so I imagine that will make a...

 Thanks for all the advice! I ended up calling my neighbor who is a "Mr. Fix It" sort of fellow. He took it and brought it back yesterday all fixed. I fused and slumped in it last night with no problems. Apparently some wire was loose in it, he checked out everything. I am glad ...

HeLp!

Hello! I was using my kiln tonight (Jen-Ken Fusing/Anneling) Kiln. I placed a 4X4 piece inside and set it on low for a ramp up of 500 an hour or so. When I checked on it an hour later, it was only on 200 and the element (only has one around the side) was not on at all. It also is not cycling with th...

Glass Question?

Hello! :?: I recently saw a fused piece that was made with a cool looking, plain, no texture, opalescent, neon/florecent green colored glass (a bright, lite green color) also, pastel purple, pink and lite blue colors. I was wondering which company sold these colors? They look like more modern/contem...

Thank You! I used the Primo Primer last night (it's all I have for now). I was very happy with the results. The Primo Kiln wash worked well for the hobby stuff I was doing, remarkably smooth on the bottom. I will still try the Bullseye. I put 10 coats of kiln wash on the shelve that I used last nigh...

:D Thanks Carol! :D

I will have to get some Bullseye Kiln wash.
I see a lot of people on this board seem to prefer it.
Is that the pink stuff?

Thanks, Mali

Question New Kiln User

Hello! I have a nice little Jen-Ken Fusing and Bead Annealing Kiln. I am taking a class for beginner fusing and I have never used a kiln yet. So you won't think I am a geek, I have been into stained glass for 14 years. :?: My first question to you all is: Can I "cure" for lack of a b...
