Re: Autumn of our Reign.

This is intriguing, thought provoking, and beautiful. The glass colors, patterns, and form are wonderfully resolved. The connection to the stone feels like it could be no other way. While the nuts do not distract, they are not as amazing as the rest of the composition. I would love to visit your wor...

Re: GE Silicone II

I just spoke with the tech support person at CR Laurence. The words adhesive and sealant are used interchangeably. While it is not classified as a structural adhesive, it does bond glass to glass, and is used in window glazing as an architectural adhesive/sealant. He told me that it is also used to ...

The colors, textures, and form are beautifully organic. Could you have tack fused flat, at 1350°F (+/-), and then slumped into the mold at 1250°F (+/-)?

Re: Shipping Big Internationally

I used my own custom made wooden crates for one shipment of large (24" x 48" x ½") and heavy pieces. I have been using Uline's "Regular" boxes, 200# test for 30# or less, and their "Heavy Duty" double wall boxes, 275# test for heavier loads. I am going to start usi...

Re: Shipping Big Internationally

The pieces in your photograph are spectacular! I have had very good luck shipping rather fragile glass internationally with USPS Priority Express or Global express. I wrap the glass well with bubble wrap, crate it, and then wrap the crate with bubble wrap and put it into a larger crate. Uline sells ...

Re: illegally "borrowed" photographs

The commercial web sites, where the person claims credit authorship of the work of others, that that is infuriating. A college teacher? C'mon!

Seeing references to other people's artwork on various blogs as well as Pinterest does not irk me.

Re: illegally "borrowed" photographs

It is not just this web site, there have been several. I posted about the Art N Glass web site here, because it seemed likely that others on this board would see images of their own work there. There was a teacher using photographs of my glass in a community college course catalog for her fused glas...

illegally "borrowed" photographs

Someone alerted me to a website from New Delhi, India, where they saw my work. HV Art N Glass... Their web site has every type of glass imaginable, from fused picture frames to cleaning sky scrapers. I did a reverse image search (tineye.com), on just a few of their images, and found they were using ...

This is the connection that both the artist(s) and the patrons miss out on when selling through a gallery. Thank you for sharing this story!

Alaskan Fish

Rockfish... First I cut them, then I cook them, then I crate them, then I put them on lines, finally I will shoot them.
