. . . And that damn dance keeps coming back to haunt me, but it is always fun at parties. But never as fun as the look on Brocks face at the transvestite show when the female impersonator came over to him and got him really nervous. What did she say to you...huh!. .....hahaha touche! I prefer to th...

Ok....I have to chime in here. I do have one of those big table model strip cutters, but for production cutting 1/4" to 3/8" theres nothing like the good old manual strip cutter, provided you do the right retooling with them. And that damn dance keeps coming back to haunt me, but it is alw...

Congrats Catherine. Also your show at Foster/White is top notch as I can't say enough nice things about it. Your work has improved in leaps and bounds. Sorry I couldn't make it to the opening, but I promise to stop in when I come to Seattle next weekend. I think you've finally arrived...good going!....

Amy, I've used a place online called Jerry's Artarama. Good prices and they have teachers discounts.

I would use diamond hand pads, They'll come in grit sizes from 70 to 3500. Sometimes I use the pads up to 220 then sandblast the scratches out with a 220 SiCa. Low temp firepolish at 1200F for 5 minutes. Nothing moves and the finish is...... Beautiful!

Jim. Just go in with a big baseball bat and trash all the bad work. A 36oz Lousiville slugger will positively do the trick. Then bring in a box of your own, much better work and restock. That'll send the message to em. ...Personally I wouldn't worry about it and would take my work elsewhere if I did...

Hi Cindy....Tried the color thing years ago. My opinion, stick to black. Good quality spray paint will do in a pinch, but the black power coat is what I use now and its hands down better then paint. Doug

Lani..nice talking with you today...finally! hahah The architectual show was just awsome. The images on the site could never do them justice as there is much moreclose up detail then is possible to photograph. Well, maybe one could, but it would take a lot of images to capture all that detail. Ray, ...

You got it...all the above. Fused, lam'd and cast, and sandblasted, as well as a new (to me) paint (cold) that has lots of transparency.

Same old studio.....new work

This empending series of work will be taking me on a new journey using casting, laminated, carved and painted glass in both sculptural and vessel form. This series will deal with expressing the human emotion...sometimes as tounge and cheek. Heres some preliminary images.... 8) http://community.websh...

What Ron said, David said, part of what Cynthia said, Barbara said, Mary Kay said....and what PDX Barbara said........The old board was much easier in format to use, and in a much more personable, friendlier fashion. And maybe I'm wrong, but more professional dialogue at times. .....Doug
