Glass tile re productions need a caster

looking to re produce the FLW type glass tiles 3/8 " thick 4x4 tile we have samplesthey are 1/2 reed on one side 1/8 the other some have roundish bumps on them we need to make around 300 pieces for a landmark building NYC if interested please call 718-596-4353

it seems to me everyone points are important i sometimes pack $1300 into a box that cost me $7:50 plus the insurance etc so if i'm charging 5% it doesn't cover the time to pack or the material,i trying to make $$$ here,the 10% would work for me but it would be a big increase to start with, its now 8...

i'm interested to hear what others charge to ship works to stores selling your works. right now i charge 5% i'm not sure it's enought with the cost of insurance, packing material etc. thank you for your replys ep

nice people to work with ,the thing i found about their site was you the artist have to work the site meaning you have to up date your photos frequently to be on the new works pages, i didn't have the time needed to work it, got not enough orders from them . had lots of inquires from the group ads, ...

laminate fused glass to 3/16 plate

anyone know how to laminate a fused glass piece about 24"x24" to a piece of plate. this laminated piece is then to be drilled with 1" holes.if it works i need to make 6 panels. anyone ever do such a project? thank you for your help ep

scotch tape' am i the only one

i've use this tape for years to hold pieces of glass together to get works from the bench to the kiln. yes you need to support the piece with the top glass or card board to move it into the kiln, the tape burns off i've even used the tape between both layers and not had any problems with the finshed...

I use tables i got from Costco the 24 x48 add 8 inches with pipe and screws to make table high to 42". the pipe can be ajustable for uneven ground ,your out doors add risers for different hights ep

i use elmer's for some projects, but what i found to work the best to get large pieces (25x25) into by kiln is scotch tape 3M majic tape. tape the glass on the bottom ,use fiber paper, almost all my works have clear top glass,so i use it(top glass) to slide the taped glass into the kiln , like it wa...

frame

tess if you have an iron shop around have them make a steel frame, drill holes , epsolder copper wire to the lead to hold the panel into the frame. you would have to finish the steel with paint to prevent rust. i like useing 1"angle,but i've used 1/2" as well

i use a 1/4 "normal lead from Bendheim&co, if the glass is to thick , grind as if it was ripple glass.the important thing is brass or tin fins for structural support . ep
