pot
more air than you currently need
bigger cabinet than you think you need

leave room for growth.

don't forget to factor in possible "hidden" costs..electrical...plumbing for air...use tax..etc....

The discount should be a cost of doing business for the gallery owner. I feel deep discounts discredit the gallery as well as the artist. Small discounts 5-10 % should be written into your contract as to be bourne by gallery, unless you agree to split the cost of "doing business" . I feel that split...

Bravo and Good Luck! Your desire will keep you on the path. There may be some pebbles on the way but if you can keep good spirits and the "go ahead" attitude you should be fine. The success of your prospect depends upon how much time you can donate to it. I started this venture 2 years ago, also try...

Thanks for asking Tony. Yes it does have a drain and a drip container for medium/water. If you've been to the Corning Studio cold shop --it would be a cousin to the mill grinding system, but lower tech.&smaller.

honing Machine--can it be a lap grinder?

Could someone advise me on whether I can use this "honing machine" as a lap grinder. I purchased it CHEAP $150.00, but I don't want to invest in 3-4 magnetic discs if it won't preform for me. Here are the specs: DAYTON Split phase motor HP 1/3 RPM 172S 115Volts FLA 6.0 FRS6Z HZ 60 PH1 INS,CR A, Max ...

I would first give the teachers and the principal a proposal on what you wish to do . The will give you a laundry list of their own concerns--(as well they should) This may give you a better idea of what the schools comfort level is. I have found the more successes you have in the school volunteer m...

You have a great site ---I was drawn right away to the butterfly --since it is a common creature in my own work. The critique I wish to offer --if you refer to Fused Glass Tableware --the sentence "each piece is made entirely of fused glass so the surface can't be scratched..... My thought was - are...

:( I agree with other posts. I only see that you are both using the same technique. I'm sorry if this is bothering you on any level..but please consider this bit of advise I was given many years ago when I had my draft book of poetry stolen and my name was erased and the unmentionable being wrote in...

my studio is close to 800sqft. and I believe it is too small for the long term as I am a total tool hound and wish to fill my space with many fun toys. ( a merker for one) a dream... Silly ?--probably asked before/can't find answer in Archives

I'm fairly sure the answer to this question is yes, but I just wanted to be safe. Can I sandblast--etch on tempered glass? No great carving or any thing--just basically want to mask out an area and frost glass. The glass is approx.6-8mm thick. Thanks in advance ! Greatly appreciated! Kelly Burke Mak...

I believe "U got Glass? ", a warm glass sponsor, carries bails that are a flat disc with a loop on top to thread a necklace through. If memory serves me right(which lately  is a little shakey... they're about $5. ea. Hope this of some help. Rio Grande also carries items that may be useful.......

Thank you for showing photos of the full bail. Better for the visual thinker---like me. I think these photos better describe their usefulness--though they sure look even better with your glass. Love the bails--I'll be punching in my order in the next day or so. Thanks again for sharing..... Kelly Ma...

RioGrande.com I often purchase items from them. Like them, and good quality as well as variety. I just started ordering from Halstead Bead --only bead items -but I believe they sell bails in addition to silver and gold items. ---they did not have 1/2 of what i needed and do not back order items--for...
