Self doubt

So.. Again I start my path along the road of trying to be an artist. I just finished with my mid-life crisis and finally am in a spot where I can unpack my studio. I have been working with glass for over 30 years and have always thought my work as being so so. I know my technique is good but I am ne...

For some reason I can't open any pics that are posted under "webshots". I don't know if the company is locking me out or not cuz it says "Forbidden". Bummer. Must be a corporate thing. :(

Hey everyone again: I would like to respond to what Becca said: And furthermore, does the amount of coldworking equipment contibute to this? Maybe touchy or maybe not. I too have wondered about this. I don't have a WB sander yet, so I feel that my work is not good enough until I get that expensive t...

Hey guys: I am soooooo messed up right now. I am writing from my computer at home so I hope your answers will make it here. I JUST GOT MY LETTER FROM PILCHUK and I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!! I guess I might as well do the pout thing now then. :( I definitely will be on the bottom of the list if what you guys are saying is true. Too bad, because it really isn't fair. Oh well, it's not like there aren't any really good courses out there other than Pilchuk and Moje.

Brock: ahhhhhhh, I think you just may see me back again then. I didn't think of that. I know you guys said that you had to squeeze a lot in in 3 days (I took the one at the first BE conference). I know I was fairly new too at fusing so there was just soooo much to take in. I will check out your Cour...

Steve: I am blown away..... 500 pieces for the border..... WOW..... When I looked at the original picture, the pale green looked a lot thinner than the darker green around it so I couldn't figure out how it was made. Anyways, you definitely made my week. Hopefully one day I will be able to see that ...

Making Pattern Bars

Hi Everyone: I'm at a stage where I have a box of failures (bowls that didn't work out and only got to the first full fuse stage) and don't want to just throw them away or break up and use as frit. Please let me know what you think of my idea: If I slice it up with my band saw in let's say one inch ...

All right..... I'll get over it but I took Brock and Avery's class too and definitely didn't get what you did out of it!!!! (Probably too busy talking). So can you just tell me about the sides of your "Rainforest" piece??? The pale green in the middle - is that just thin pattern bar...

Hey Roderick: Your doing great for only one year!!!! My favorite is the wheel. I like the way you just staggered the small square pieces and the way they are positioned. I also think you did a good job with your website.
Keep up the good work \:D/

Steve: I have to tell you that there aren't a whole lot of people's glass that make me react the way I did when I saw your "Rainforest" piece. It truly is awesome. Do you teach any classes??? Sounds like you probably don't have time, but..... PLEASE..... I would fly anywhere to be able to ...

OH MY GOD!!!! THAT IS GORGEOUS..... I love the colour and that paler green on the sides is soooo cool. And then the squares in the middle look like slices of new green wood.... It looks so organic - something living in a deep green forest.... Damn (when the hell am I going to get that good!!!). I wi...

Hey Kelly: LOVE IT \:D/ (especially the Playground series). You seem to have the same flare and lack of fear when it comes to using colours as Jackie B. has.
I also like your Lava plate. Could you please explain the process you used to get that affect???? Very cool 8) 8)
Good luck.....
