I have a gallery also and in your situation if the gallery can't get the customer (?) who broke the item to pay for it, they should compensate you for your price. They eat their consignment fee. All part of doing business.

Questions about rock inclusions

My daughter collected tiny pieces of iron ore that wash out of our hill for inclusions in some glass tests I wanted to do. My husband became alarmed and suggested I post to the board. I saw a wonderful bowl where the bottom was slumped over a mound of rocks - very cool which provided the inspiration...
