Hi froggee,

You can find small candle holder/dish molds at http://www.bohle.de

They do a good selection. I`m sure you can find the same molds where you live.

I liked the design and colours in your piece, keep going!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,

Everything got sorted. I didn`t find out what the problem was, but I`ll be getting replacement glass very soon. Bohle had to destroy the rest of the case.

Good customer service from Uroboros and Bohle. Thanks Lisa and Kat!

I WILL be buying more Uroboros in the future.

Hi Paul, I use Bohle mainly, and this glass came from them. I think they were going to try and trace anyone else who bought any of this shipment. I have been impressed with the service from Uro so far. I`ve only just contacted Bohle, and they haven`t seen the photos yet. Lisa at Bohle is really help...

Hi Cynthia, I`m sending off some pieces of the glass to my supplier and should get some replacement glass. Doesn`t help with the pieces that have come out already though. Unfortunatly, for these pieces I needed to fuse two layers of clear together, and you can see that the contamination is on the su...

Problem with UROBOROS clear.......

Hi everyone, I`ve got a bit of a problem. I had a delivery of clear uroboros a couple of days back. I did a firing using the clear a couple of days ago, but it was mostly small pieces. I noticed a orange tint in a couple of the pieces, but assumed it was some contamination of my own doing. I fired o...

Hi everyone, Thanks for the kind words. It`s silly, but I was pretty nervous about posting the photos. Today is one of those good days. A case of bullseye arrived at my workshop this morning. This is the thing about working for yourself; I can`t wait to get into work and open up the kiln, even...

My first photo posting....

Hello everyone... Well, Kelly has inspired me to post a picture of some of my work. I`ve been doing a lot of work with patterns latley, and this is a piece that came out this week. It is 23cm square. Here`s the link: http://community.webshots.com/photo/128449053/128451708CEwOnH And a close-up shot of...

Hi Kelly, I`m really impressed with your work. I think you`ve got some really good ideas. Keep going!!!!! It`s funny, after the talk about inspiration latley, but one of your bowls, ` inspiration` is so similiar to some work I`m doing at the moment. I`m doing a lot of work with patterns at the momen...

I`ve got a twin spin aswell. I wouldn`t recommend it. It seems like a good idea, having two types of grinding on the one machine. But in reality, it`s a real pain in the arse changing it all around. Especially when the disc gets stuck on the shaft and it takes an hour to free it. I really only use t...

I had a chat to the architects today, and the windows are coated -low e, and argon filed. We`ve decided to have the window frames adapted, just a recess on the inside of the frame which will allow me to slot my panel right in and then put some beading in to secure it. The frames will be drilled in s...

thanks for your help Dani. It`s going to be a couple of months till the panels are in, but the build has to be finished for the summer season. I`ll definatly post some pictures when they`re finished. It would be really good to see some of your work. There isn`t a lot of architectural work on the sit...

Hi vic, You posted while I was replying. Your idea is pretty much what I`m now planning to do. I need to see the architects tomorrow, but I`m pretty sure that the window is above 800mm from the floor, which means no saftey regs apply to this window. All the same, I`ll feel better if it has a film ba...

Well, after much thought, and some good advice from Dani and Dayle, I`ve decided to mount the panel internally. I kind of got stuck on my original idea to mount the panel inside the window unit. It now seems to make sense to mount the panel in a frame, probably stainless steel. I`ll get the double g...

Dayle, what coatings would you recommend? Would this be a plastic self adhesive film?

I guess that you`d apply this to the inside of the outer piece of glass?

Ok, I went back to the site and had a good look around. The east side of the building is shaded by large trees, which will obviously shade the east end from spring onwards. Both ends of the building are shaded by an overhanging roof, which will also provide shade from some sunlight. I`m going to giv...

Dani, at a guess, I would say that the environment you live in is probably quite a bit more extreme than where I am. We get some good sun in the summer but for a lot of the year the sun is pretty weak. Saying that though, I could do with some sun right now!!!!!!!!! The other thing that I realised is...

Thanks for the replys so soon. Dani, I`ve thought alot about how to install the windows. Putting them inside the units seems like the easiest option. It`s a new build and the window units are being custom made. I can get my panels put in when they manufacture the units. Do you have any other suggest...

Triangular Window

Hi everyone. I was approached about doing a job months ago, and finally it looks like it`s happening. I have to make two windows that sit in the east and west end of a building. To be more accurate, I`m making two panels that will be inserted in between the two sheets of glass in a double glazed uni...
