Dani, Just say no to thew restaurant business. I was in it many years and actually sold mine to become the starving , but happier, artist. There were many times I envied the money the waitstaff went home with. If it is a nice restaurant, great tips and no overhead and you leave the job when you walk...

I use the plastice folding sawhorses and a hollow door(very light) because I cloth the table anyway. Very light and compacts easily. My husband, bless him, built my folding fir displa...

S/S ring source

I have forgotten who supplies 12" s/s rings. I am not getting enough info from archives. OK , I admit, I get frustrated sometimes! I am working approx 1/2" thick for small table tops and don't like how fiberpaper sticks to MY pieces . Do they stick to yours? Is there ever an end to getting...

Sanding Skamol board

I thought I would find something easier then the fiberboard to use in my kiln, but how in the world do you sand it smooth without gouging it. it seems with every little swipe (using fine sandpaper) it picks up its own grit and marks it even more :( What am I doing wrong? I am kilnwashing it to fill ...

What are the alternatives if you are:
1) Chicken about lifting the lid of the Jen ken when that hot
2) Chicken because I don't have a fireproof hood
3) Chicken because I would like to keep my hair thank you

HI, I have a Jen Ken oval 9 with the peep hole, which I love having. The heat coming from through the peephole includes infrared light and you really should wear infrared blocking glass or goggles to protect your eyes. I know it can sometimes be mesmerizing staring into the kiln, and I liked firepla...

So the ultimate question is. Can it be shelf or not to shelf? It seems that we are using it to fuse on so is there any problem just lining the bottom of the kiln with this stuff.
Marty, weren't you thinking of building a kiln out of the board?

Hi, I had 1 bad experience fusing many layers of scrap on thinfire. It stuck and pulled up some of the board. I went to 1500 and held for 15 to get a complete fuse. I recently builit a 15x15x1/2 strip tabletop on a piece and it fused fine on board but stuck to the fiberpaper. Not sure what i want to...

Sorry for the double post. I clicked before I was done. Brock, who knows what is happening with the glassworks. I think it was sold and they represent quite a few blowers who work and intern there. Thanks for the suggestion though. I did not feel ready to approach galeries with what were truly small...

I'd like to see pictures! Ready this winter to attempt airbrushing. Do you need Hepa filters and how do you vent. I will be doing it in shop if possible with no airvents, but can work outside if necessary
