old board thread follow up

i know this thread (http://www.warmglass.com/cgi-bin/wgarch ... read=74045) is thrown out a lot as a guide for people for BE color interactions, but did anybody ever pursue the topic of the rest of the thread, the powder catalogue?

i'm just curious, i think it was a most excellent idea.

i think the praises for sub par work is just an outpouring of support from this community. i think it would suck a lot if somebody had the balls to post their picture and nobody responded/everybody panned it. the people - that do good work and not so good work - who post pictures with just a 'WOOHOO...

doing a little research on vinyl cutters...what does this mean?

Minimum Cut Sans Serif Character Height

with .125" in really expensive cutters to .5" in the cheaper models...does that indicate how much space needs to be between cuts? size of the font? i don't get it...

thanks

interesting... so i found a couple sites with some info, let me just make sure i'm getting this - to make a screen you prep the silk with the emulsion, when that's dry place a transparency with a reverse of your image printed on it on top, expose it to light let it cure, then silk screen away? two c...

o and actually i might as well ask the question i'm researching - i don't know much about the processes for either so i could be totally off - is it possible to use a vinyl cutter to cut a design to be used for silk screening?

cheapy silk screening...

so i was randomly looking up info on silk screening (btw, if anyone has a link on a good how to site i'd be much obliged) and found this link: http://www.desiredcreations.com/howTo_PhotoEZ2.htm is there any reason that wouldn't work with glass paints and glass? looks like a good way to get some real...

ah, thanks - i'll try less paint next time. so wait, one always has to use flux? i thought it had something to do with making the enamel 'transparent' (flux=clear enamel) if i don't want that, can i get away with not using flux? i guess i should find out what it is. o, another question i didn't ment...

painting woes

i got my ferro starter set and have been experimenting, i've used their medium and also tried clove oil. i'm having a couple issues tho that are frustrating me: 1) some sections are 'blistering', for lack of a better term. all bubbly and almost burnt looking. am i applying the paint too thick? firin...

those crazy college students...

last month a coworker (a senior marketing major at a local college) surprised me with the fact that as her marketing senior project, her and her team of classmates had to choose a small business and create/modify/expand it's marketing plan. their grades are based on the noticable improvements within...
