basement studios

The only major issue I have found is moving equipment in and out. It is a royal pain to move a crate of glass downstairs. I fear nothing more than holding a sheet of bullseye cranberry as I descend the stairs. I will find out next week how hard it is to get an oval kiln through a 30" doorway an...

wire

You can use fine silver in wire wrapping, but it is not traditionally used. Fine silver is 99.5 pure silver(or some percentage close). It will be labeled as fine silver. Everything else will be sterling.

Taurus issue

Just don't let the blade touch your finger nail. Anything diamond coated will absoultely destroy your nail, and the taurus will do it rapidly.

size of kiln and doorway

I am considering purchasing a Skutt GM1414. I have not been able to find exterior dimensions. Does anyone know if it will fit through a 28" door opening or can the kiln be completely disassembled and rebuilt?

I am using the hotline kiln wash and all of my glass has been Bullsye or Uroboros, COE 90. Has anyone e...

I get the error message below when going to the link.

Artglass does seem to have a mold that sounds like what I saw, but there is no picture.

Where to find rose mold

Hello,

I am looking for a vendor that carries a rose mold. I saw one online a few weeks ago and can not find it again. It is a ceramic mold made up of five pieces. The overall dimensions are close to 4.5" x 2.5". Thanks for your help.
