I don't know the diffeence but I have the 1000 and its not bad but you will go trough a lot of nylon guides these are the same guided on the 3000. So if you buy one may sure get several guide packages they are about $6.00 a piece. So you don't get stuck with down time waiting on them to come in. I h...

BE Glass, Stringers & Glue Mess
I fused a 12 inch plate clear base and 0116 Turqouise. I put black streamers in a vertical and horizontal layout. I used white glue on a toothpick in about four places on each long stringer and two drops on the shorter stringers. Put in the kiln, was going up 450DPH to 1100 had the peep hole open an...

Specturn Reds
I have used about 8 sq ft of the red opal now discontinued this last two or three weeks. And you have to be really careful of two things . 1) as Tony said you have to make sure all pieces are cut from the same side up. there is a major difference when it fires. One is a nice red the other an orange ...

Bubbles
I have found that as much as I hate to slow down it is the only way to go. Mu current schedule is uuslly 400 to 1100 soak 10 min. 60dph to 1280 soak 25 min then 400dph to final temp. Since doing this rather conservative schedule I have not had any bubbles at all. I usually put a small chip under the...

New thin fire
I do not work for BE. All I know is I got an email from them stating that they have this newer version of the product out. I am just a customer of BE. But I am sure seeing how there are a few people who work for BE that are on line in this forum from time to time have to know of all the bad rap they...

I just got an email from BE that they now have a new version of this product that is suppose to take care of the shrinking ...

Wasser Glass
I am thinking about buying some Wasser, I never have used it. I realize that it is a softer glass than BE so lower firing temps. Full Fusing Spectrum and testing Float at same time.
I am getting ready to do a full fuse with some spectrum. I just bought some 1/4" float that I want to see if it is going to be compatble with some of my float frit and confetti before I do this other project. Seeing how I will only be going up to 1465 for the Spectrum, will this be high enough ...
