Is he/she from France or other french speaking country? If we are talking about France, as far as I know, there is no book in french about fusing. There are very few fusers in France. Maybe this is why I have so many contacts and requests since my web site is in french. I do not know anything about ...

I have had the same problem. I understand how you feel... that bothered me too. They said it is normal at the beginning because the coils vibrate more. It takes 4 to 5 firings to return to normal. Just vaccum very well between firings. Since I was planning to use a fiberboard, I used those firings t...

The process that you describe works for larger pieces of thick glass. I don't think it can work for pattern bars but I have never tried either, so... I do not know what is your budget but you can find a tile saw for $50 on sale at Harbor Freight or Home Depot. It splashes water and is not too precis...

I have heard that Bullseye Connection is proposing it but I can't be sure because it is a product that I do not use.
Try to give them a call, their link is at the top of the page.

I guess you are talking about slumping molds.
Ask Bullseye. As far as I know, they ship worldwide. I asked the question for France a while ago and this is what they told me.
Also, I think they have a distributor in Switzerland.

Hope that helps...

I am so shocked by this post that I need to answer. Boo me if you want.... What, this lady took off her earing to put it in your hand. There are things grossiest in this world. Things that even can't be washed.... I guess that you go to art shows to make money, no? Do you know that money is the dirt...

Thank you for your answers. In fact, I just have been rejected (very nicely though) by a gallery who said that they do contemporary only. I guess, meaning my work is not. I visited the gallery and thought that could be a fit, although what I do looks different of what they propose. That's OK, but I ...

Contemporary glass

I am wondering what is the definition of "contemporary glass".
Does contemporary means abstract only?
For example, if you have some work representing landscape or animals, can you knock at the door of galleries who call themselves contemporary?

What do you think?

Thanks,
Patricia

Which rate would you go from 1150 to 1450?
(for larger pieces, 2 layers of Bullseye 3 mm)

Thanks again.

Randy, I think you've just got to be honnest. Take your phone, ask for an appointment with the owner and go talk to him asap. Tell him about your concerns and about how you feel and see what he has to say. Maybe there is a good reason why your work is not selling and you can have the opportunity to ...

Drop ship?

For the second time someone asking to start a wholesale account with me asked me also if I "drop ship". After searching on the internet, I understand it means that I will ship directly to their customer. Am I correct? If this is the case, I don't like that very much. For another reason, I ...

Big thanks to all of you. I just talked to Randy from Jen-Ken and he said that the two bars are made to reinforce in the middle. He even sent me a picture! They are not necessary for this kiln but for whatever reason, they shipped me a stand made for a much heavier kiln. A while ago, I purchased a M...

You never said what type of kiln you have. Is it one of those hotbox type kilns? because the temperature indicated is always lower than the real temperature. When you work in a hotbox it is different that with a kiln more traditional. You need to have protection glasses to look inside the kiln. Not ...

Yes, the stand is about the size of the kiln, if you forget the oval side. The bottom of the kiln is reinforced by a sheet of stainless steel, so I think it does not need more support. I was thinking that maybe those rails had to be screwed in place on the top of the stand, in front and back. To kin...
