FIREBUG DESIGNS

I say when you are on the "suncoast", Firebug Designs is a "must-see". Liana is the founder (along with myself) of the Suncoast Glass Guild. She has a huge selection of glass, frit, tools, kilns, all the "necessaries" and she is a very knowledgeable and talented artist....

I'm sure if she'd call Arrow Springs Craig would help her directly. They're very nice people...very helpful too, when you need it.

I think you're on the wrong forum if you're looking for lampworking moretti rod...you should go to Wet Canvas.

So how did you heal them? I was following your other post about the dimples but didn't see a solution.

10" vase draping mold

Does anybody know where I might begin to look for a larger draping mold than the 7" one that is available? I mean the one that is stainless steel and looks like a bar shaker or milksake machine cup.

Thanks,

I've been to the PCG. It is very nice for glass blowers and lampworkers. I didn't notice anything going on for fusing, though. Aren't there any shops around that cater to fusers?

Glass Fusers in Pittsburgh area

Hi,
I'm heading back north and leaving my lampwork supplies in FL. Need to find suppliers/shops in the Pittsburgh area that teach fusing classes. Anywhere within 1 hour's drive is good.

Thanks for your help.

Wow! Thank you so much for the "more than ample explanations"! Looks like I should go with the 220 then. I guess I'll have him make me the 17" square with a circuit that will work from the dryer plug! Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help.

I have a 9" af99 from Arrow Springs for beads, I just want something I can make dishes and plates in...thought 17" square would be pretty basic size. I know the safety procedures...I do lampworking...but really need help with fusing! Just wonder if the size of 17" is too large for 120...

size of kiln for 120V

I am thinking of having a kiln built by Olympic. 17" square to run on 120v (I think that's what house current is). It will be 6" deep and have elements in top and sides. Are there any drawbacks to this? Obviously they don't sell them, so what would the reason be? Too long to heat up? Not e...
