I get an occasional spot of crap on my otherwise clear glass. If I remove the crap with a little diamond bit, e.g. a 220 grit burr from HIS Glassworks, I now have a little white spot. Is there a way to polish this little speck so that I will have a little polished divot instead of a white dot?

That's a fun piece. The ghosts are really well done.

I didn't care for the green one's glass color much. Just personal taste. The blue one appeals to me. Did they like it? I'd guess they did. It's a charming piece.

Thanks Jen. Yes, The backhoe was done in enamels and isn't stain. Now that I think about it, there may not be any silver stain on that panel.

Thank you for the kind words. I've wanted to do a piece with chicory for a long time. It grows in our county by the roadside, and it seems like the more inhospitable the roadside, the more persistent the chicory is. So the only back story is that in my part of the country it would be a typical scene...

This is titled 'Chicory'. it's a three layered panel, the first of which has fused elements that make flower stems, leaves, and petals. The other two layers are painted and stained float sheets with painted stained glass borders.

You might obtain more opinions if you present a scenario that describes the components in detail between two test cases and ask which one is most likely to cause breakage of the glass piece if you miscalculate the schedule in a certain way. Interesting, Barbara. I wouldn't know one hole size from another, but it sounds like I should expect to find a larger one more acceptable than the one that the pot was born with. I may try that with some scrap clear antique. I have a lot of it.
