fun panel

I got a panel done last night. I think its a fun piece. The front flashed strips can be slid out of their rails and repositioned to make different combinations. Plus if the owner drops and breaks one, I get more work out of the deal. Its going in a bathroom. Most of it is Lambert's and St Just flash...

If all you are going to do is airbrush with it, you can go to Home Depot or Sears and buy their smallest compressor for $100... but as soon as you start talking about sandblasting, you need to consider a number of other factors like what do you want to do with the sandblasting... For "general ...

clip I love creating work, but I can only continue to create if I sell it. clip Thats a self-imposed constraint. To think that you should be able to protect the use of a type of joinery, so that it can be associated with your 'style', rubs me wrong in a number of ways. First it over-emphasises the ...

Does Michaels also have a compressor on sale? Could be kind of frustrating for someone to get home with their $40 airbrush and wonder what to hook the tube up to.

Great tutorial Liam. Needs a *.wav file with a recording of the fritter in action, with some Germanic music in the background.

Really outstanding stuff. By and large the artist statements aren't too annoying either. Most of them.

Hi-- I've just started using an airbrush to apply enamels and traditional glass stainer paints. I'm wondering what sort of cleaning solvent people use after doing this. My airbrush is a mess! Why embarrassed? It looks just like paint to me. I assumed it was enamel sprayed-on, or at least sifted. Of course having similar preconceptions to mine might be cause for embrrassment.

Re: Airbrushin

So, the consensus seems to be that I CAN airbrush enamels if I've got them fine enough to kill my lungs! Hmmm! I also have an older airbrush that handles mica powders and kiln wash as Bert described, and it does it quite well, but I haven't had any luck getting 80 mesh enamels to go through. I sent...

Only a very fine powder in a well prepared medium in a very thin suspension will go through an airbrush. I'll offer a flat no to your first question, to what I call frit. Although some of the things I spray, I also call enamel. For discussion on mediums, search the archives for the word 'miscable'. ...
