Your piece was uneven in thickness, in that case as everyone mentioned you must slow it down.

You probably trapped air and got bubbles that you blasted through. I think you should add powder and refire. If the piece is not that important break it apart and use the pieces to create another piece.

I first sandblast then use a hand held plumbers torch to heat the mold, apply wash and reheat till dry. Repeat 4 times, you mold is ready in about 5 minutes.

I use an Oasis machine, the type they use in bars to make frozen drinks. I vacuum out the bucket after every use. Make sure you are wearing a mask when using a disposal.
