You can get Moretti Sheets at http://www.arrowsprings.com/html/moretti.html. I've used Arrowsprings before for my rods and really like the service!

Post a pic when you finish your project

I use glass tac. Never get a film after firing. It dries slowly. You can get the glass tac through BE.

Hi Pat: You can purchase the etch creme at any hobby store, got mine at Micheals. Sorry, can't remember the brand name. I pour the solution straight from the bottle into a tupperware container. Then I place my glass in the container and leave sit for 10 minutes or so. Then I remove, wash and dry. We...

Exploring the Drop Ring

Brad:
Just wanted to say great article you wrote for the batch insert in Glass Craftsman.

For those of you who have been asking drop ring/mold questions the last week - you should really get this article.

Geri:
Do you have the drop ring shown on your site? Would love to see it in color

glad your having a good time! kiln forming is very addictive.
You do NOT pre-fire thinfire. I use the thinfire all the time. Love it!! You'll really notice a difference in the backside of your piece using thinfire instead of firing directly on the shelf or using fiber paper.

Would you email me information on the glass guild please? kim@glassaddict.com I forgot about Art Glass House, they are wonderful, however, your first order does have to $1,000.00. But, they have EVERYTHING!

I do not change my kiln wash until it starts to chip off - I can get several firings before having to "re wash". You'll definitly see when it needs to be redone.

I have been wanting to try this also - I have one question, okay this might be elementary but here goes - how do you get the sand back out of the kiln???

I am assuming you'd just use a wet vac?
