Re: Broke it during blasting

You could also cut a larger piece for the bottom and spread the pieces fill the gaps with frit and make it look like that was the plan all along. It would make a funky looking piece sign.

Re: kiln controller help, please

Hi Jerry, I hope we both work out our problems. I'm thinking Bert is right about one of the relays being stuck open. I too have more than one kiln but I use this one for smaller things and to anneal beads, I cant see using my bigger clam shell to anneal a few beads. My lid has not been working for a...

Re: kiln controller help, please

Hi Bert, I was hoping you where around. I see no discoloration, there are 2 relays. How would you determine which one of the relays is bad or do you just change them both out.

kiln controller help, please

My smaller kiln is an Olympic 146gfe with a rtc 1000 controller. This kiln has been a great little work horse for years and finally something failed this week. I fired to full fuse the day before and all was fine. The next time I fired it it started going to temp and when I later checked it it said ...

Re: what's the most popular tile size?

Bert the reason they are a little smaller is to take the spacers into consideration, that is mostly for floor tiles.

Re: SG Bevels for casting

Hi again Shereen. In the earlier post I made I gave the wrong info. The delta is air dry and works great. The paints you put in the oven are Pebeo Porcelaine paints. http://www.misterart.com/glass-tile-art/painting/pebeo-vitrea-160-glass-paint.html?utm_source=PriceGrabber&utm_medium=datafeed&...

Re: SG Bevels for casting

Hi Shereen, I would not cast these, even if they were made by the same company you can't guarantee the coe. I would sandblast and then paint them. I started using a product a while back for outdoor house numbers that I am very happy with ( Delta Permenamel). You paint the product on, let it air dry ...

Re: Hake Brushes

I use the cheap foam brushs you buy at any hardware store and they work fine. Leave them in the kiln wash and they last a long time. Which ever brush you use if you want a smoother finish on the shelf use an old pair of nylons and rub lightly.

Re: MICR Printer owners

My husband just purchased a Canon laser printer, I think the MF4880. I checked the MSDS on the toner cartridge, and it has fairly high iron (ferrite) content. I am going to give it a try in a few weeks using gel medium (I'll be traveling through April 20, so no time for glass for a while after the ...
