Nearest airport to Vitrum Studio
Hi, I didn't know whether to post this question on Spab or Business. I am registered for Bob Leatherbarrow's Powder and Frit Class at Vitrum in Laurel/Beltway, MD this month. I've been looking for cheap airfares (guess this qualifies for the business discussion) and I realized I don't know which air...

Please pardon my obvious ignorance. Does this mean there will be a Warm Glass @BE in November and also a WGW in or around Washington, DC, in mid September? Whatever it turns out to be, thank you, Lani, and BE for being so kind to all of us. I want to work doubly hard on my entry so maybe I'll get a ...

Brad, Of course, I'd like the cheaper room, but the last time I was in Portland, I had a similar situation with the metro stop being 1 or 2 miles away from the hotel. The hotel shuttle took me to the metro stop where I waited in the cold and rain for almost an hour for the right route to come by. On...

Randy, your pot melts are terrific! They look as if you have slumped them already. Does the melted glass hit your kiln posts? One more question: It looks in the set-up as if you have fused together some of the strips of yellow and black? Is that correct or do I need glasses? One more question ( and ...

Beginner's Fusing Classes in Atlanta
I have a friend who is extremely eager to learn glass fusing. She lives
in the Atlanta area and cannot find classes there.
Can anyone help me find her a teacher?
Thanks!

Amy, You did, indeed, marry well! So did I, but my man refuses to learn to use the computer and certainly couldn't design a website. On the other hand, he does great foot rubs and back rubs, designs my iron stands and tables and does all the dishes. He also funds my glass addiction. Aren't you and b...

Re: Bob Leatherbarrow's class
Nikki, I'm so glad you took the plunge. As for you, Stacey, come on in. The water's fine. If not, the "sand" should be colorful and just right. Can hardly wait to meet all of you. Beth, if you're lurking right now, I do hope you can drop by the studio. I know we'll all like you as much in ...

Encasing seashells
I have tried two or three times to encase seashells in glass, both
float and BE but they crumbled and turned an ugly grayish color.
Warmly,
Nita
