I did 2 things. I was firing Spectrum and only 1 layer. I used 2 segments (as you have described) to get to full fuse temp, but I ramped at 300 for both segments. That worked for me. The next time I fired a similar piece, I used the same schedule, but I also put 1/8 inch fiber under the 1/16 paper a...

Lonnie... I tried both. First the Gryphon. I hated it. I bought the Taurus to try and loved it. I sold my Gryphon on EBAY! I heard yesterday that Taurus has come out with a newer version. I would check into it. It's supposed to be quieter and about the same price as the existing one. The existing on...

I'm flat fusing a single layer (1/8 inch) of sys 96, 12 x 12 on fiber paper, that will be draped. The schedule I used is: 600-1465-25 9999-1000-5 600-955-10 400-800-01 Usually works fine... this time I get a 3 inch diameter bubble that is abou 1 1/2 inches high. When I removed the piece, I could see...

Overglaze Question
I'm looking for opinions! I use Super Spray to coat the top of wafers. It seems to work well and I need to order more. I am planning to reorder from Fusion. The question is this: what's the best to order.... Clear Coat (the description read THE BEST) or Super Spray? They cost the same and the only n...

Seam Question
Why is it that some seams will fuse and the line between 2 pieces of glass can not be seen at all (black). Then, I seam 2 pieces of red together and the seam is very apparent. The 2 pieces are fused well, butthe line can be seen. All of this was done with bullseye at full fuse.

Using Aluminum for Draping
Well, that's the question. Someone gave me a great piece that would be perfect for draping. It's about 12-14 inches tall. It's made of aluminum. CanI use it?

Thanks for all the help. I was about to order it online from your suggestions when I started calling around town and found a place that had some that someone ordered and never picked up.
Thanks again,

More Bobble's Questions
I did a small test piece using BE on the bottom... a very thin wafer centered on the BE... and BE clear on top. This was done on thin fiber paper. I used the 'sqeeze schedule' 300 - 1250 - 60 1000 - 1510 - 15 999 - 960 - 30 210 - 700 - I STILL got bubbles! Any suggestions would be greatly accepted. ...
