Why is it that some seams will fuse and the line between 2 pieces of glass can not be seen at all (black). Then, I seam 2 pieces of red together and the seam is very apparent. The 2 pieces are fused well, butthe line can be seen. All of this was done with bullseye at full fuse.

Well, that's the question. Someone gave me a great piece that would be perfect for draping. It's about 12-14 inches tall. It's made of aluminum. CanI use it?

Steve... do you do this immediately after a full fuse? I would assume you would slump after the entire process?

Any suggestions as to where to order aluminum oxide in a grit such as 220?

I did a small test piece using BE on the bottom... a very thin wafer centered on the BE... and BE clear on top. This was done on thin fiber paper.
