I can tell you tommorrow how it worked. I've got one clamped toegether with a copper connector. But the oven won't be cool until tommorrow.

You could always go for, castable refractories, Cast-o-lite X etc. But you start losing details.

High fire, please define

Coming from Clay, with a glass minor, High fire.... Please define, and mostly if I read deeply enough into the post, the numbers come out. But High fire, in 2 different directions, starts at 1800degF then goes to 2400degF. I think it unlikely, though valuable, that anyone is working this hot. Cone 0...

Umm some, like HIS, don't have grit levels on their diamonds. I asked Bob Stephan, and it's pretty much diamond, then choose a grit. Not an expert, but Bob is. As I understand it, diamonds will dull, therefore making the grit size change.

I can't tell you about Striking. But I can tell you about re-investing.

Once. Or remake the original.

All Anectdotal, but if I re-cast a piece more than once, the mold fails and the glass chews up the elements.
