Will these directions produce a properly fused, round blank?
I downloaded this project from a very popular glass website: Use a 3mm 12" clear system 96 circle, then place a 3mm 9" transparent colored circle in the center. Full fuse using following schedule: 250 250 30 250 1050 60 200 1250 30 250 1370 20 300 1465 10 Full 950 60 200 800 10 300 100 0 I...

Re: Mother's Day gift 911!
Thanks for your response, Joyce. Glad to know I probably couldn't get it flat again. That will save me a lot of frustration. Floral former is a great suggestion!

Mother's Day gift 911!
Slumped a bowl and it came out with one side higher than the other. Can I make it flat again and try to re-slump? If so, what schedule would I use to flatten it? 96 glass, blank was 10" diameter. Thanks for helping...clock ticking away so fast

Re: Help with slumping molds: finished pieces rock
Hmmm, I guess I'm not sure what kind of molds I have. I have bought all of them from slumpys or delphi. I just assumed they were all designed for glass slumping, but maybe I'm wrong???

Help with slumping molds: finished pieces rock
Most of my slumped pieces rock slightly. It's happening with bowl and plate molds. Is there something I can do to prevent this? Maybe I just have poor quality molds? My kiln is level, and I make sure the molds are level when slumping. Unfortunately I don't own a grinder, so I'm not sure how to go ab...

Re: Cutting curves
I've only cut circles with a circle cutter. I flip the glass over, press on the glass to run, then flip over and make my relief cuts. I thought the same process would work with a half circle, but I wasn't successful.

Cutting curves
I'm trying to cut curves for the first time, specifically for this tray mold. I cropped the photo to show just one end of the mold. How do I go about this? I can't find a good video online, so if anyone can explain curve cutting or give me a video link I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Does mr97 really need to be reapplied every firing?
Or is the company just trying to get me to use more?
I haven't had the guts to try using a mold twice without removing and reapplying it, but every time I take it off it seems to be perfect and ready for another fusing. Any experience with this?

Searching for 4 pound containers of system 96 frit
I'm having trouble finding 4 pound containers online, with the exception of clear frit. I want colors in the 4 pound size. Any suggestions? Thanks!

How to make good seams
This was my first attempt at making seams with different colored glass. I think I did pretty well for a first try, but when I hold the piece up to the light I can see a little light through the seams. I fused the three colors on top of a clear base. I think my cuts were good. Any suggestions or good...

Re: Can you recommend a glass grinder for a newbie?
Well, I guess I need to know what all the possibilities are. I'm a newbie! The only thing I've ever done with a grinder is edge grinding in my fusing class. What else do you do with it??? I have researched online, and am asking the pros because it's very confusing.

Can you recommend a glass grinder for a newbie?
I'm looking for a good grinder in the lower to mid-price range. I'm brand new to glass fusing, so I don't want to invest $1500, but I don't want to buy a cheap one that may only last a short time. Also, I don't have a water source in my studio. I've looked at some grinders where you pour the water i...
