How did you add the rims? Did you melt into the rims or did you melt and then refuse with the rims around the already melted glass? :?

Do you know the 'official' name of this the Quality Suites Hotel? I assume that it is closer to Reagan than it is to Dulles?

Thanks,
Ross

Great site.... this is intended to be constructive critisizm! Your Candle page fits on screen well. The Life page... I have to scroll to the right to see the full page or to get to the 'back to gallery'. Your 'about the process' page.... the pic is 'over' the text, but text fits well on page. The 'a...

Fire Polish Schedule

I have read that to fire polish.... you should take your kiln to 1350 degrees. My question is how slow to get it there, how long to leave it here, and then what.... go directly to anneal? Could someone perhaps provide a fire polish schedule?

Thanks, Ross

How Do I Look?

This sounds like a silly question, but many posts say to check your project so that you can go directly to anneal or 'stop' the fireing process. Many posts say NOT to crack open your kiln until the temp during the annealing process has dropped to 200 or less. This seems like a contradiction to me. I...

I bought the Gryphon hoping to get the results I wanted at a bit less money. I ended up ordering the Taurus (love it!) and selling my Gryphon on EBAY. The Taurus costs more for parts etc, but it is a dream to use, especially compared to the Gryphon.

So if you had a piece that you had fused and you wanted to drape it... you would place the glazed side down and use the Bending Glaze to insure that the outside was glazed or vice versa? Sorry for my ignorance!

I'm considering taking this class after reading all of your posts, but it's hard to think about it right now after last night's news events!

Perhaps I should just do it anyway!
