A long-wave UV light cures the glue. A short-wave UV light shows the tin side, so you can ask about which light for which purpose.

Try ordering some "strikers" that are 'originally' BLUE. They can strike neo-lavendar, blue, pink or violet. It is really hard to file the unfired sheets so we don't pick up the wrong one. I recently ordered 1122.50 red and got an "orange" which struck RED. Aaarrrgh! - Barbara

Float needs to go higher than Bullseye. Bert will probably have a great schedule for you, but each kiln is unique for the specifics. If you can watch your kiln to monitor its own performance, you will figure it out for yourself. - Barbara

I work with UV glues all the time. They are not guaranteed to stay stable in a wet environment, and I have had them separate under wet conditions. This led me to my response. - Barbara

Actually, sometimes water will break down the glue. Try soaking the piece in as warm water as you think it can stand and keep it up until the glue releases. Use a razor blade to start the separation. Hope that helped. - Barbara

Turning it over and UV gluing is one option, but Loctite also has a clear 2-part epoxy which should do the trick. Use the 5-minute setup (smells like hell), but that should work. Fast setup would be the UV at 5-15 seconds. Hope that helped. - Barbara
