Is there a hole for escaping air, or is your glass sitting on trapped air in the nose/mouth?

I use a very weak cornstarch when I run out of Glass Tac. It totally burns off. If I need something thick, I use dish soap- straight. I bought some CMC from Brad, and find there is very little difference.

Hang it on the wall, and move on.

After using "frit smashers" of different makes and sizes I have found that I like best the thick clear plastic that full sheets of dichro come in and a good old hammer. Quickly thru a screen system to get off the dust and good to go...... Never seen this system before...... What Laurie sa...

I didn't say it above, but all of the scrap tekta and base tekta are 3mm.

Quenched is best for us, the glass user, but Bullseye can't deal with the wetness. They need to be able to size the pieces as part of the crushing process. Also, the moisture messes with the magnet they use to remove any metal fines from the crushers.

CORRECTION:

The slumping glass will pick up the texture of the powder, AND it will leave a small lump outward in the bowl's bottom at the touchdown spot.

Dry plaster cannot be used in that ball surface mold with out leaving some sort of marks on the bowl. Well, does the oil interfere with the grinding? I haven't found the line between oiled to prevent rust, and oil free- ish.

Those were hand cut and polished. Cerium infused sponges from HIS Glasswork preforms wonders on cut glass bottles.
Just when I think I'm out of bottles, they pull me back in...
