Hate to sound like goodie 2 shoes but my coffin Evenheart has a level lid at this point. Watch next firing it won't be. My problem was with the shelves. No matter what I tried I got bubbles between the shelf and glass with kilnwash. I solve that by using 110-J paper. Have to say if mine warps I migh...

It is the best beginners book I have read. Still teething on warm glass I have read several and Brad's book is the best fir...

AV you did the right thing. For years I have complained to the show people at a show that I do that a lady doing stained glass has 90% of her things that are not done by her but bought. Every year they tell me that they won't let her in the next year. Last year the chair of the standards comittee to...

Cynthia and Jim, What wonderful comments. This is something I needed to hear as a warmglasser still cutting my teeth. It is sometimes way to easy to look at a piece and say isn't it great or that's a piece of trash depending on my mood that day. I'm glad to hear that some of the pictures of pieces p...

My solution to bubbles between the glass and shelf was to use fiber paper. My personal favorite is 110-J since you get a bizillion uses out of it. Yes it seems a little pricey until you use the stuff. Nice texture also. I sprinkle a little kiln wash on the 110-J and smooth it out with a soft brush w...

Basically all you have to do to get a picture on the back or front of a bottle is glue it on with a glue that won't make the ink run on the picture you are gluing on then put a protective coating over the side of the picture that isn't attached to the glass. This can be decopuge likr Judy said, lami...

Hi Steve I found something that is made to make plastic tubes. I am including the link for the company. The stuff I found is called a transparent tube pack. I can't bring up their web site today for some reason but here is the information. I wanted to be able to link you right to them. It is page 53...

Jan, Yes you can remelt it. I would go up a little slower since part of the bottle is thicker than when you started. I fire to between 1425 and 1500 depending which kiln I am using. I also soak for a while. The soak is an eye thing. Fast cool is up to you. One kiln I do and the other I don't. Until ...

For the best rates look into guilds to see if they have any offerings to sign up for credit card use as a group. I know this might be clear as mud. I belong to the Ohio Arts and Crafts Guild my membership is I believe $30 a year one of the perks is that they offer Discover Biz/Fisrt Data at a group ...
