this one guy thought that i had a piece of plastic, sprinkled it with glitter, then coated it with a lot of layers of polyurethane. he took 5 minutes to describe the whole process of what i did. he got really creative. he was really, seriously, honestly surprised when he was wrong. i mean, COME ON. ...

hmm...interesting, i thought the norm was 60/40 since the gallery didn't have a (directly) personal stake in the selling of the item, the artist got a higher percentage since they weren't guaranteed the sale.

good to know tho, thanks. time to barter!

marking glass to cut

i'm getting really frustrated trying to cut specific lines with my tile saw. i mark my glass where i want cut with a sharpie, but before the blade even touches the glass the water spray has washed it all away. how could i mark it? i was thinking with maybe a dremel, but i was wondering if anyone had...

o! my area of special interest! 'body piercing quality' is usually 316-L stainless steel, for glass pyrex is usually used - both, from what i have gleaned, is because they're 'more' non porous than their alternatives. if a surface is porous, bacteria gets in, the jewelry gets smelly, infection could...
