You'll need: 2 stepladders, same height. 2 bars to rest across the two ladders. thick fiberboard (same dimension as the bottom of the kiln) piece of fiber paper (not thinfire) flowerpot crucible tongs to ...

Uroboros & Spectrum Reactive colors

Over time we've accumulated lots of info in the archives about Bullseye's reactive colors. I'd like to know your experiences with Uroboros 90 & 96 as well as Spectrum 96. Anyone have notes on this?
Thanks,
Barbara

Thanks, Barbara -- the subtle colors in "Reflections" is the result of blending several Bullseye and Uroboros neutrals....I was trying to get a natural look that captured the shadings vs. a stark color variance. Both "Reflections" and "Bob" are 7" x 9" and ab...

Real nice, JJ.... Favorite is Reflections. Second favorite is Bob. What size are they? Reflections is a subtle standout.
Thanks, JJ, for showing these.

Re: 0146 BE steel blue question.

I would like to do this, but the customer is in a hurry, Hi Jim... try a fast test in your Quick-Fire with the little controller you made. (Yeah, yeah, you already thought of that and there's a real good reason not to, etc....right?) Would a color close to steel blue -- like 0164 -- be close enough...

This info probably won't help if you don't have this model. Nikki EXACTLY! Allen called today: can't help me because they don't make any parts for the 350 anymore. Wish I knew how to get into it and add an O-ring or something.... I may try it... put on my Ron Coleman hat. (ha!) Thanks for all comme...

Barbara: I had the same problem a couple of years ago and the compahy shipped me a "new, improved" wheel. It worked fine after a little fiddling. Came with an extra washer that the old wheel did not have. Good luck...hope it gets fixed. Nikki Hi Nikki... Was it a model 350 saw? It's now a...

Thanks for your ideas, guys... I spoke with Alan at Gryphon yesterday. This is model 350. It seems that the problem is the wheel adjustment. However, it may not be possible to fix it. Sometime this morning, the guy who designed the saw will call me to see what we can do, if anything. Alan said that ...

Gryphon Bandsaw

Hi everyone... I have a Gryphon bandsaw, circa 1992, on loan. It looks fine, good shape. Haven't been able keep the blade on the wheels, which are designed without gaskets. Have spent several hours adjusting the tension, per the instructions, but the blade pops off over & over. A friend suggeste...

Hi Barbara: I dry with a hair dryer I keep in the studio (another appropriated item) for various tasks. I find that the water dries asap. But then again, everything here dries asap, cause as you know Arizona is also known as the "but it's a dry heat" state. Robin Well, I've never been to ...
