I'll go where ever the conference goes, name the date and place and I'm there. Can we have another birthday party too? I promise not to dance on the chair again We can pretend it is my birthday! I for one would be hugely let down if you guys didn't dance on the chairs again. That was a great ...

Oh, Asheville sound good too. I like the idea of having it in the south.... As far as an association, I would join in a minute. Member benefits aside, I would just like to help Brad and Jody with the financial and planning issues so that we can keep having the conference annually, without it burdeni...

WGW 2004?

Just curious if a date and place have been decided on for WGW this year. My vote is still for Chicago coinciding somehow with SOFA, but I would likely go anywhere..... Anyone know anything yet?

If mine got lost somehow, which would not surprise me, are there any left to cover mail losses?

Any time you have differing thicknesses in a piece, you have to be much more conservative. Also with a consistant 3/8th" thickness, I would have gone up much more slowly, probably 150dph to 1150. But as Charlie said, the nature of the crack will tell you more. If they are rounded then it broke ...

Diamond belts for WBS

I am running through silicon carbide belts like there is no tomorrow. Does anyone know of a good source for a 60/80 grit diamond belt for a 4"x106" WBS? I need it badly.

Thanks, Lisa

So, if I have this right, you are trying to drape 2 seperate pieces, one on top of the other, without them fusing together? What temp are you going to? Never done it, but I am guessing that low and long is going to be your best bet, no higher than say 1150 and just hold til you get what you want. Lisa

Hey Renee- My MK 370 works fine for cutting pattern bars. The only problems with it is that it is quite loud and when I started making thicker and larger slabs, I found it harder to slide the slabs through and get even cuts. But I am making slabs that are 12"x14"x1.5" in depth. If you...

You will probably get some scum inthe pocket from the drilling that you can't get out and the drilled hole will leave a scar as well. The only success I have had drilling a bubble out was to drill it out from the bottom of the piece and re fuse. I had a piece of opaque over clear, so it was easy to ...

I am not sure which thickness Result blade you are using, but with either, you might try getting some blade stiffeners from HIS. They are just metal discs that go on either side of the blade and give it more rigidity. Also, make sure that you are pushing equally with both hands on the table. I have ...
