Re: mk370 saw blade... what type?

I'm thinking of ordering an mk370 saw from builders resource. I think they have a good price at $265 including blade. However, the blade is for tile and stone. They say it is a diamond blade but not suitable for glass. The glass blade they sell is about $45 with a kerf of .06. They also sell a lapi...

Re: Hotline Shelf Primer question

I have recently bought Hotline Kiln Primer and followed instructions: that is to fire to 500 degrees F and hold for 10 minutes. My question is should I let the Primer dry completely before I fire or fire to dry? I am having a problem with a haze on the bottom of 96 after firing at following schedul...

Re: Rant and a few laughs...read at your own risk

Over the weekend, I participated in the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Although this is supposedly one of the top food shows in the country, the level of sophistication about contemporary art and craft among the attendees is not particularly high. I do this show, despite the high booth cost, terrible heat...

Re: Business Card Question

I do both fused glass and stained glass work, should I have seperate business cards? Also do you put your e-mail address on your cards? And a website address? Randy if you are printing them yourself, it's easy to have separate cards but ALWAYS put your website and email address on your literature! ...

Re: What do you do the day before a show?

Off-board I've discussed this topic with different folks in different media about what they do the day before a show setup. Now I'm curious to hear what you all do to prepare yourself the day before a show... I do as little as possible, try to relax and definitely don't do any work. If it's not don...

Just under two weeks until my first time selling at an art fair. It's a juried event so it's not a "craft" fair but it's not a fine arts deal either. Sort of in between. It's an outside event. I have a list going in my head of what to bring but I think I had better write it form in the fo...

Re: Shelf Primer

It seems that I can only get one firing from my shelf primer and I have to apply again. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but it alwyas sticks to the glass. Should I not be able to get several firing from the primer before I have to scrap all the old off and start again. Any help is appreciated....
