Wow - very nice Jim. You really have come along quickly. You didn't ask, but I know you enjoy honest suggestions - the piece exactly as it is with the omission of the small squares on the inside of the bowl would be even better. The rest is gorgeous - fantastic job, once again.

Have you seen pimento? I has "Jackie" written all over it. Ooohhh yes. If you look in the gallery here Els, the piece called Intrigue In Red is Tomato and Pimento together. It's my favorite pairing and when I start a new piece I have to force myself not to use it every time! :D All reds a...

Have any of you tried firing a blank inside a stainless steel ring with just kiln wash on the ring? Is it best to always line it with fiber paper? I was thinking about using a SS ring to do a pot melt into as a dam. Maybe it would be better to use a fiber board ring? so many questions... annah Line...

Special order colors !!! "Ooohhh, I asked, what else is available in special order?" Well, they have, in addition to the caramel, a Persimmon Red, Spicy Orange (hoping this is a terra cotta color), Tomato Red and deep red. They have lots of special colors that aren't considered stock. But...

Now that you mention it, Jim and Cynthia, I remember that happening to Cynthia too. But the time I was thinking of, it was a different person. I think it was prior to Cynthia's accident, because I remember the horror of the mere idea of it that I felt at the time this woman posted, so I doubt I had ...

Looks good Joseph- Good for you. But one word of caution. I can't tell by looking how sturdy those are, but maybe there is a way for you to weight them well, or bracket them to the wall or something to ensure they don't topple. Once, a couple years ago, a woman posted (sorry, I don't remember who) a...

Re: web hosting versus other options?

I have read all the various comments and links about website development and web hosts, but what I have not seen [or at least not yet found] is any discussion of the pluses/minuses of having one's own website versus using a sevice like GlassArtist.org - which I noted that several members of the BB ...

My goodness, she's talented, isn't she? Introduce her to glass! I'd bet she would have a blast. Wish I had some advise about her situation; I don't, but I just hate hearing about things like this happening to artists - too bad.

By the way Brad, did you see the question about where and when you'd like pieces sent for those choosing to donate theirs to the auction? Actually, no, I didn't see the question. Didn't see this thread either. Just came to check it out because someone warned me that I'd been volunteered. It's a bit...

Brock is correct; he always is so listen when he speakes.
Yes, he is. Brock is like Simon on American Idol. He speaks the the truth, even when it's sometimes tough to hear. (of course, occasionally Simon is WAY off base . . . remember when he didn't like George!? At least he's come around)

Yes. I understand the opposite of Avery's work. I don't understand the opposite of mine. But, nonetheless, I think the opposite of my work looks like Cliff's. Even though not everything has an opposite. And even if everyone's technique has an opposite, it doesn't mean the opposite is actually a tec...
