Deep Slumping Mold

Hi All, I am using a new slumping mold - a bowl with ruffled edges, but is deeper than the molds I usually use. The diameter of this slumping mold is 11 1/2" when using a ruler across the top. The diameter using a soft measuring tape across the diameter and down into the bowl is 13". I wan...

What compressor do you recommend for the Aztek 4709?

I have purchased a sampler pack of Gecko glass for stained glass work. There are some very pretty choices with Gecko. The problem is when you try to cut it. I've been cutting glass for over 10 years, and I'll get a bad score more often with Gecko than with other glass. I would never try to fuse with...

I plan on buying an airbrush soon, and I would also buy the Aztek, as recommended by Avery. In addition, I would buy it from Brad Walker - his price is hard to beat!

Shipping Costs

My question concerns shipping costs when a gallery wants to carry your work. Do most of you add the shipping to your wholesale price of each piece, or is the gallery expected to pay for the shipping from your studio?

Thanks in advance,
Pat

Hot Box Kiln

I never put my hotbox kiln on High. Seems like I overcook my pieces every time I do. I look at it one minute & it's not done; then I look at it two minutes later, and it's overcooked. So, I set it on the highest setting just before High to go to temperature. I also got a new lid for it - the one...

Glass Cutter

I've used a number of cutters throughout the years. My favorite is one that I bought at the Bullseye Resource Center - yellow barrel. I've had it almost 2 years, and I still love it!

Hi Tom- I have made a few pieces with old Wasser accents - at the tack fuse stage. I have been very pleased with the outcome - no color loss. I will send 2 pictures to your e-mail site - sorry I just don't remember how to get photos to My Photo spot so that I can post them here. I've been experiment...
