It looks like it could be contamination. Did you wash both pieces of glass before you fired?

I've had the same problems with the Rainbow on clear. Like Kitty, I'm not sure I'll buy it again.

I've also purchased the Rainbow on black. Haven't tried it yet, but the pieces appear flatter. I' not sure it will pose the same problems.

Cabochon or Cab -- non-facted stone or piece of fused glass used in jewelry

In an early topic on a similar topic, Geri Comstack offered to compile a list of jewelry terms. You might want to contact her.

Most of what I know I've learned from a great teacher here in Dallas who will be opening her own studio sometime later this year. To date, she teaches in 8 week sessions, but plans on weekend workshops once she has her own set up. Send me your email and I'll make sure you get on her mailing list. Al...

Kim,

It was custom built for me by my contractor out of pvc pipe and cross fittings. I'll post a picture of it if someone will point me to the instructions for uploading photos.

My garage/studio is about 320 sq. ft. And, yes it is full. Too full. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling. While I don't use thin fire, I do use a lot of fiber paper and buy it by the roll. I store it on a contraption that looks like a gaint toilet paper hanger that holds three rolls and hangs ...

There is a tremendous amount of information on this in the archives. I redesigned my studio for remolding and a garage enclosure last fall. I received a lot of information from the Board and there was a lot in the archives then. Since then, I've contributed what I've learned at least twice. Basciall...

I use bed risers from Bed, Bath & Beyond to add about 14" to the height of my tables. They are very stable. The only difficulty is once you set them up, moving the table and keeping the legs in the risers can be difficult. They cost $14.95 for a set of four. I have recently seen a ad for a ...

You need to look at industrial strength exhaust fans, not the ones normally found in houses. Mine draws more than 10 times what's usual for a kitchen or bathroom fan.

I'm not sure whether Home Depot carries these fans. You can see them on http://www.grainger.com.
