Smelled this one..pulled it out about 750...the interior of the kiln and the molds were Black with soot..fired it to 1450 and everything is fine little fuming on the glass but nothing major

OOPS!

Lord I hate it when I leave the bubble level in the kiln :oops: Hope it didnt ruin the kiln. Not to mention how mad my wife is going to be when she gets home a smells it #-o

With My HF saw I siliconed the plexiglas to the table and then used an old blade to cut through it..leaves an opening just a shade wider than my Husqvarna Blade from HIS.

I have a Skutt HotStart that I just drilled a 2" hole in the bottom of to pull vitagraph..I use a fiber board plug to close the holw when using for other things.

There is a reason that Fanatics is part of the title..and many of the folksthere have very thin skins,but there is some interesting work there. Have to be very careful how you respond to people..its actuaslly a good place to lurk.

I have made several of these as I like the look of them. The wiremesh is imbedded in the glass with no sign of a problem yet. I have not examined them with a polarized lense so cannot say they are stress free for sure. So far , so good. And the FGF group is quite fanatic
