Question is Barb, were you able to extend your working time with the lid open because your arm and some tender parts were not burning? If so, all of your clothing was being exposed to more heat than usual and any cotton would react the same way. Allan Yes, Allan... that might be what happened. I wo...

Hi Liz.... Barbara Bader here...
Come to the October OGG/PDX chapter meeting.... Michael Dupille is the featured entertainment!

I've seen Michael's molds & castings using castalot. Looks great to me. come to the meeting & ask him questions. In fact, bring a piece with you to show.

I don't clean mine very well at all, just a rinse with water from my hose. I get around the scummy stuff by sandblasting the final piece. But I do have to say.....what a huge difference the saw makes. I have been using my MK370 for the last year and just got the MK100 with a result blade from HIS. ...

I now understand that my problem with the slices isn't about cleaning. Tho slices must be scrubbed first, the roughness left by the tile saw permits trapping of little air bubble bits.

Hot clothes

I have a top loading kiln. It's awful when I need to do stuff inside the kiln when it's at temp. I've some of the lovely silver attire, a face shield (which I dislike because it's hard to really see properly with it on, so I tend to peer out the bottom). So while I was at GAS in June, I back-ordered...

So, if it's "out of print" so to speak, is it kosher to get a copy from someone else's copy? If I'm not mistaken, I think that's okay with printed material. Am I correct? Anyone know about that? Steph Hope so, Steph... I got the email from Julia W. also... no cd... what say, Brock? Barbara

Barb, here is how I would sanblast them all. Get some very sticky contact paper. sticK a bunch of components to the paper. Blast away. then if you need to blast the other side as well (though why?) flip, stick and blast. Or you could attach them to each other with wax like Ron suggested. Me, I like...

Thanks Bob, Nikki & Ron for the fast replies... Here are my f/u questions... Sandblasting, acid wash.... Blasting will still require doing them 1 at a time... Acid wash sounds like fun... would that be muriatic acid, Bob? Just Dump&Go(tm)? Ron, I'll look for that goody of Brian's. But since ...

Cleanup time/polish slices

Greetings, all. I've searched old & new archives but not finding exactly what I need to know. What I need to know: After slicing up small pattern bars on the tile saw, I've found that I need to grind & polish them a bit prior to fusing them onto or into other projects. When I don't do this, ...
