Is there a difference between peeking & flash venting?

I have read both to and to not flash vent, but everyone needs to have a look. Is it not harmful to the kiln if you just peek?

Or you could do what I did and tell my husband I needed an air compressor, thinking of something small. The next thing I know he comes home with one that is taller then I am! I think you could use this for months before it ran out of air :roll:

You might want to make sure it's still there. I have family around Celina, and the whole area has had the worst flooding in a hundred years. Now I remember why we moved out to California on top of a hill!
