I looked in the BE catalog at the circle cutters. There is one that is very expensive and attaches to the table. Then there's a much less expensive cutter that's a Silberschnitt. Is that less expensive circle cutter what you Silberschnitt users have? (Anyone have the monster that attaches to the cu...

If I did confuse willingness to learn with expectations of immediate sucess, then I appologize, but your classification of those new to the field as "wannabees" makes it hard to interpret your intentions. Yes, I am new to the warm glass field, although I have been working with cold glass ...

Cast your scrap in those heavy steel muffin pans, the ordamental kind that come in different designs, shells, corn etc. Use lots of kiln wash. They make nice paperweight gifts.

Els, That Andie is just too cute....and she's got her "teenage" priorities right in order...Actually, I would put her to work scanning your reciepts onto disks, that might solve that storage problem. Otherwise....another great use for all that extra room is Kenny's shop...Hehehehe! (don't ...

You mentioned powder coating in your response to my question on how to paint stands. Just what is powder coating and ar...

Marty...... this is a concern that has come up for me in the last couple of years. I often imagine the feeling of seeing one of my nice pieces of work walking out the door at a bargin basement price. So this work we make always sells well at the set retail price and now, because the organization has...

There is a whole range that one can tack fuse embellishments on the surface of their piece. Often I will tack frit onto the surface of the work at temps as low as 1325. As you increase that tempature, you will notice that the tack will go from "barely holding onto the surface" to a "a...

Talked with Nick Mount at the SOFA show yesterday and that is sort of the recipe that he uses, although if I see him today I will get the info regarding which type of oil and wax he uses to make his pencils. His imagery on his newest work is striking with the use of the "enamel pencil".......

The Skutt website lists the volume of the new clamshell at 4.35 cubic feet. That gives over 1700 watts per cubic foot. The good news (for you) is you can probably get it for around 75 cents, because I've yet to see someone
with nerve enough to bid against you.

I wouldn't bet on that....
