So maybe Cheryl should do an article for a well-distributed glass magazine entitled, "The Biggest Lie In Fusing". And then proceed to give some history that is actually accurate. Then we can send copies of the article to all the liars. What do you think?

I was told that white out has some health warnings, that it might do something with the brain or nerves. Anyone know about this? We used white out and had great results on the surface of glass and even on the bottom. Since the warning of hazards with the use I stopped using it. Health/hazard warnin...

The questions came to me more than once. I guess their is another commecial name. White Liquid paper is the stuff that you can find at stationary store to erase a mistake made by typing. You apply this over your mistake and than re type on top and cannot see that you mess up.They use to sell them i...

It's a good idea to use a mold release if you have undercuts to consider.... we use fabric softener.... I think Downy brand...which brand makes a difference. As mentioned, don't use anything with a petroleum base.... I still remember that mold years ago where Michael used Vaseline. Oh, my..... out o...

Hi Bev, Try fire polishing without an overspray...I've noticed that it tends to trap that scummy look. Patty Too late on this piece since the overspray is already applied, once it's there, it's there. Sandblasting seems the only logical solution here. As to the red glass, I'm wondering if you got a...

I had quite a trial finding zinc oxide locally when I was experimenting with silverpoint. A pharmacy finally found a jar in their basement! Sheesh. I haven't tried the Liquid Paper, but really thought I was onto something when I accidently fused some white and gold paint pen and it fused beautifully...

I was hit up by them two years ago and after nosing around, was told (off the cuff) that it was a great place for wealthy people to buy glass cheap from famous artists. LOL. I took that as a compliment.... and didn't send anything. (As an aside, I notice they don't solicit the same artists from year...

Did you check samples of Janssen & Buscher, the lead recommended for Lamberts Glass? The regular stuff has a higher heart to accomodate the mouthblown glasses. Also, Cascade Metals out of Canada sells a high heart lead. I think many of the wholesale suppliers stock both of the above. We get J&am...

I'd be interested in the silversmithing tutorials you mentioned. If you don't mind post them here or email them to me. Thanks, BobB L...

The key to this discussion is the notion of "perceived value" The public does perceive that diamonds are worth more than Cz's and gold more than silver. They also are impressed by sparkle and size. Dichro sells well because it has sparkle, not because it is expensive for glass artists to ...
