I put my vote in for silicone as well--strong and clear. Just used it myself recently to connect glass panels to both acrylic and aluminum and it worked perfectly and doesn't show. Amy Amy, I have a question about silcone. There are so many on the market. What silcone do you use. Silcone adhesive? ...

Re: Removing epoxy?
I had several bails shift before the epoxy dried. Is there any way to salvage either the glass or the bails? And, to think I thought I'd have fewer failures with epoxy than with drilling holes. Thanks, Alecia Alecia, I have good luck with using nail polish remover. I just soak them over night and c...

Why are you doing the work that you do? What is your thought process behind your work? This has been stimulating reading for me this morning. I feel that my work is self exploration of who I am. Not always the case though for years I had worked with glass and made pieces that were just exploring the...

I have totally revised the site with lots of images of work done this year. Please visit http:...

When I set up for a show, I try to have the same look as a gallery. It takes me longer than other artist to set up. I feel its worth it. I display my jewelry in collected old wooden trays filled with black beans. Lots of commments on the black beans, mostly from men.I use acrylic stands for the earr...

I don't understand why you'd want to get involved in that- I keep the tax separate; I'm just collecting a state-mandated tax (and not getting paid to do it either!). If customers complain, I tell them to vote next time (no I really don't tell them that, I say I'm just collecting it). And on a high ...

I don't know what was posted before but this is a simple calculation. Given the following variable assignments: GP = Gross Sales Price (This is the amount your customer pays) NP = Net Sales Price (This is the net amount of proceeds you will receive for your goods. TR = Tax Rate (This is the sales t...

Bonnie, Any modern digital camera with more than 2 megapixels will do the job for photos that end up on the web. If they end up in a magazine, consider that they will be printed at 175 dpi so you should be able to get a decent 4x5 to 5x7 when printed. For conversion to slides, I would look at 3 meg...

Re: Another kiln question - Pottery kiln for Glass?
Once again, I am very new to fusing and am currently involved in (what seems like) endless kiln research. I am sure there is an easy answer to this question, but I can't seem to figure it out. What is the difference between kilns made for glass and pottery? it is my understanding that the pottery k...
